zombie : a corpse brought back to life by witchcraft
figurative : a person without consciousness and self-awareness, yet able to walk around and respond to stimuli
How to find the zombies from the living? This is really a very difficult situation if you suspect that some people you are seeing may be infested with nanobots in their brains that may have gone awry.
Or people, you have been inspired by, could be zombified by some shaman or witch! There have been stories of people walking out from their graves and working on sugarcane fields, scientific instances of rats being attacked by certain parasites which force the rats to go towards the cats!
You may not believe in zombies, I don’t too! But I look all around, look within myself then I wonder whether I symbolize the second figurative use of zombie ( look up). ![]()
I inquired myself, went through some tests and found out that I am not so zombie-free. The traits of a zombie are dormant in me, but for the time being those traits have no effects on me.
What tests did I go through? How do we really tell a zombie from a real living person? Are there zombies in our establishment? How to save ourselves from the zombies staggering around us?
We’ll be dealing with these questions and other preventive measures in this post. So while reading this post (if you dare to go through it), you will not visualize zombies as the one portrayed on the left side of your screen. Not the axe wielding person who hacks off limbs from other people and devours them, spluttering and spitting blood and intestines out of his cannibalistic mouth.
Oh! So you are strong enough to face the bitter truth. Thanks for coming along! Now I am giving you some ways of finding the difference between a zombie and a living person.
But first realize the bitter fact that every human being is a zombie. It’s not like in the movies where ordinary people change into flesh-devouring-no-brains wanderers. It’s the other way round or no round at all.
Either we get stuck as zombies throughout our lives (if that is called a life!) or we evolve into human beings. So far, I haven’t seen a human being reverse back into a zombie. It can be possible only if, I say only if, his/her mind gets corrupted by some new age scientific equipment or gets possessed by a wizard.
Read through how to tell a zombie from a living person:
Tell-tale signs
Zombies don’t drink blood, they drink alcohol. They indulge in smoking and drinking, make resolutions to quit those habits everyday. All along they know that it can’t be done. During rare intervals only they realize the full structure of devastation their lives are under but most of the time, their brain cells which deal with the conscience get corrupted.
Over-confident and dreamy
Contrary to the belief that zombies don’t dream, they are the worst dreamers. Dreaming continues in zombies even during their death (usually with a chainsaw), they are dream machines. Their horizon never gets defeated because all they do is dream.
Over-confidence is stagnant, no further quests. They believe in what they say, they make others believe in what they say. They want others to believe in their dreams, we follow them and later find that we were sleep walking for decades.
Leaders usually fall within this category. You can have a look at the images of the certified zombies from Nepal.
They look gentle and so concerned! But looks are usually misleading. They also happen to be leading the nation. What a shame we are being dictated by zombies!
They lie, they contradict what they have spoken themselves, they retract what they have spoken and sometimes they speak what ought not to be spoken.
Zombies don’t dance
Have you watched any movie where a zombie tap dances, b-buoys, or does salsa? Nope. Don’t say Thriller, because Michael Jackson is already dead and we are not talking about filmy zombies.
Zombies don’t sing either. What a mess they would make of singing with their slit throats and serrated mouths!
Pessimistic – the sign of the zombie
Most zombies I have seen are cent percent pessimistic people. Tell them the sky is falling and they will start covering themselves with bed-sheets; pessimistic people are the usually the ones who easily go after hoaxes, rumors and myths.
Most people in almost all countries fall within this category. We believe everything the leaders, news agencies and televisions say, shunting our creativity and curiosity.
Lack of originality
Most of us are robots, programmed to behave and think in a particular way. We are no less than a herd of sheep which jumps over a cliff when the first one jumps off. We suffer from mass hysteria, delusion and get panicked by some April Fool news.
We believe in theories, religions and political ideals propounded by some other people. We are the eternal followers. Have you noticed? In most zombie movies, a horde of zombies follow what the leading zombies do.
A zombie’s mind is set to follow.
So far, I have come with these points in defining a zombie. Anyone who doesn’t behave as I have pointed above is a real living person. Pardon me if I am wrong or hurt anyone’s feelings (if you have any).
If you really read through this post, then you surely are a super human. ![]()
